Hoenymoon brought to you by:

The Future of Forestry: Was really fun rocking out and worshiping to these guys while driving though the Avenue of the Giants (Redwoods). I recommend them. A cross between Snow Patrol and Angels & Airwaves after meeting Christ.

Jon Foreman: If you didn't know this already, Jon the lead singer of Switchfoot has a few solo EP's out. The first is called Fall and the second is Winter. Go check it out, they will rock you. And most importantly most of the songs are straight from the Scriptures.

many songs and albums were spun on this trip. many laughs were had. many miles were logged. Throughout it all I was thankful for God and everything He has given to me and for my Wonderful wife.

In all we spent less than $250 on gas the entire trip. To me that is pretty sweet!

I leave you with the Elk we saw on our drive up the coast on our way home.

Redwood forest of Joyness

For me one of the funnest parts of the trip was our venture through the Redwood Forest. I realized just how magnificent our Creator God is. I was humbled by the beast that loomed above me. And our hotel suite was pretty much the raddest, biggest, and cheapest we stayed in the entire trip. can you say: in room jacuzzi? I thought you could.

San Francisco

Immediately after leaving the zoo we drove all the way to San Francisco. Arriving at 3AM I was tired and the service of the hotel sucked! The room we paid for was not worth it. I had paid less for a room three times its size a night before. we stayed a total of 9 hours in San Fran. We got in our car on a blustery morning, drove across the golden Gate Bridge and decided right there that we would not be crossing that bridge back into Frisco. We would drive a few hours to a town called Fortuna in the middle of the Red Wood Forest. I'm sure Frisco is cool, but it was just one of the moments and moods. We were done, we will be back, better luck next time. (Tents anyone?)

the San Diego Zoo

Another first for Amber, but what a great day it was. I recommend to all who go to this zoo; ride the Zoo Bus you will see so much more than you will by walking.

Sea World

One of the highlights of the honeymoon was our chance to go to Sea World. this was Amber's first trip and she loved it! The only bummer was half of the park was closed due to reconstruction.

Enjoy a few snapshots:

Knotts Berry Farm

December 14th

Okay, so maybe we should have tried to go here first, because after Mickeyland this place was knott so Berry Good. The best part was the burgers and shakes at a n old style diner. No kidding!

There really were no highlights. Other than me winning a Christmas teddy bear for Amber at one of those buck o' basket dealios. I swished the first shot, game over!
